Hello Everyone. This week, while my husband was building shelves, I tried mosaic art. I had an old chest with a bad top so I topped it with broken dishes. There is a lot of pink in it so I am using it for my post. You can go to HowSweetTheSound for lots more pink. Below are pictures of the chest, the shelf and print above it, and pink items, some which you may have seen before. I cut some wind blown roses form the yard for the vases, pinks and a pretty apricot color.

Happy PS
Love the mosaic top. It looks great. I've wanted to attempt mosaics, but haven't YET!
As for the floorcloth on the ceiling?? hmm, I've never tried that. You can by the canvas in large rolls. I buy my large rolls from AllensCanvas.com I've never thought about hanging it that way. I use a heavy canvas for my large cloths, but I would think if it's going to be hanging a lighter weight would probably be the best option. As for attaching it. Not sure other than tacking it, but it would need to be pulled really tight and maybe sectioned off to prevent sagging. Never had to worry about this with them laying on the floor. Let me check around and see if I can come up with an answer for you.
Another option you may have is to attach thin board and paint that. (You could paint it before attaching). I would think it would be more cost effective and easier to install.
Get back to you soon with an answer, I'm curious to see if anyone has done this before.
have a happy day
Kris

Thank you for visiting my blog. No, I do not attend Baha'i. The architecture of the building and the wonderful gardens is the draw. The sky as background just speaks to me.
