Word Filled Wednesday
My husband's Father was a preacher. He was born in Minnesota and married a girl from Iowa. Each had more than one masters degree including Bible. They came to Texas and taught college Bible and pastored churches. Now, Brian is pastoring (bi-vocational) a small church near one of the churches they had served 45 years ago. An elderly lady came to one of our services and brought the Bible stand in the picture above, giving it to Brian. She remembered his mother and dad and Brian as a baby. She said that his dad had made Bible stands for the deacons in their church and she wanted Brian to have the one that had belonged to her husband.
It was "strange" that his folks ended up living in Texas and "strange" that Brian is now ministering to people in the same area where his dad ministered so long ago. In the picture is Brian's dad's Bible on the stand. I know it would bless PaPa that Brian is a Pastor and he would agree with Proverbs 10:1, "A wise son maketh a glad Father."

Hi Jennifer, God orders our steps even though we plan out our ways. I know for sure it would make his father's heart glad today.
The generation of the upright shall be blessed. God is true to His word.
I love the proverbs.thanks for sharing.

Wow, what a wonderful gift! I know that your husband was blessed to receive it. Such a great verse!
What a special "gift!" It sounds like a Godthing! How special for the woman to give it to your husband.
Loved looking through your blog. Your wfw picture and verse is awesome. The bible stand reminds me of how years and years ago, bibles were so treasured that people used to lock them in a box because they were their most valued possessions.
I love your old oak chest that everything's sitting on and your prim spools with the candles in them. Very pretty!
Nice meeting you! Have a glorious day!
Holykisses,
Lea

I enjoyed reading this. Your husband is literally walking in his dad's footsteps. He is blessed to have had such a godly father.
I like your header and the Scripture.
